Weekly Photo Challenge: Merge
When I thought of two disparate things merging, I thought immediately of this photo. A ruined old stone structure from long ago, a bright blue sky with grey, spindly trees. Titled, “Open Window,” the interior and exterior of this building have merged, no better evidence than by the view into the building from the open window. Fortunately, old stone ruins tend to be lovely rather than sad.

That is priceless. Where else could you find another shot like that? Cool!
Thanks, Gemma. It’s great what you stumble across when driving along old country roads. Glad you enjoyed it.

I love this interpretation, brilliant and striking.
Thank you, Silken, for your lovely comment. Made me feel real good. I enjoyed your March of the Machines and Wrong (Again), too.

Thank you 🙂
One can only imagine the lives that have looked through that window in its day. This reminds me of walking around a lake called Starlight Lake or Swinging Bridge Lake. It’s 9 miles long and I believe man made. As a child, walking along the embankment, there was a stone structure, very much like this one, that has long since been abandoned. I always wondered as a kid the who’s, what’s and when’s of buildings such as these. Forgotten to time.
Thanks, Dean. It would make for a great opening to a story, don’t you think? BTW, do you have a blog? Can’t seem to link to it.

Oh Anne, you so know me… Lol. That is exactly what I am thinking about! My father used to tell me that the random stone walls that you see sometimes way back in the woods were made by Indians. The story is starting to form in my head. 😉
I don’t have a blog so much as a website: http://deankutzler.com/Deans_Writing_Life/Dean_Kutzler.html
I post my stories there and sometimes update/change my content. Please feel free to read/rate/comment. Hope you enjoy!
I’m looking forward to reading what you have posted recently.
