My Photo Selected by Software Giant ADOBE
I am excited to announce that one of my photos has been selected by Photoshop maker ADOBE® as part of its “Blankets of Love” initiative as part of Project NightNight. Project Night Night donates over 25,000 Night Night Packages each year, free of charge, to homeless children who need our childhood essentials to feel secure, cozy, ready to learn, and significant. Each Night Night Package contains a new security blanket, an age-appropriate children’s book, and a stuffed animal — all nestled inside of a new canvas tote bag. By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children we serve. ADOBE is creating “Blankets of Love” using photos of selected entrants, which will be donated to Project NightNight. The photos are to show love. My winning photo is above, taken in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, Africa. It shows a baby lion (about 4 months old) nuzzling its eldest brother (about 10 months old), while sitting atop a fallen acacia tree. Their mother and aunts were hunting zebra at a nearby waterhole. I am very proud to have my photo selected for the blankets that will be given to homeless children! I was just notified yesterday, and will post details as I receive them. You can learn more about Project NightNight here: www.projectnightnight.com
Cheers!

WOW! Congratulations, Ms. Anne. The first thing I noticed about your picture is that we can so relate to the drama on it (the brother to brother moment 9f you may allow me to interpret it that way) even though they are lions.
No wonder, it gave you such recognition.
Sony, you nailed it! The baby was nuzzling his eldest brother, who was the babysitter for the day. Lions always geet the eldest by nuzzling. It is so sweet to watch – almost makes you forget that an adult could decapitate you with one swipe! Even the adult lions nuzzle in greeting. Very civilized to one another. Thanks for dropping by and commenting.
